We made it to 2021! New year, new starts, goodbye 2020 pandemic.....well not quite the pandemic part. Even though we are all sooooo done with the pandemic and we are ready for all the frustrations, sadness and chaos it brings to be left in 2020, unfortunately that's not quite the reality. HOWEVER, have no fear- we have great news! There ARE ways to safely get out and about. We have compiled a few activities that you and your family can enjoy while keeping safe and within the Covid-19 CDC guidelines PLUS some central florida businesses that are not only dog friendly but also have some great deals going on! So remember, mask up, wash those hands, leash that pup and support small businesses!!

Here in central florida we are blessed to have so many beautiful lakes, trails and parks to loose ourselves in. Here are a couple of our favorites:
Fort Fraser Trail
Do you prefer the smoother hike? This trail is fully paved and runs for nearly 8 miles! This makes this trail excellent for running, biking and even skating. "The trail includes picnic and rest shelters; also, look for some of the 33 different species of butterfly that flit among the native plantings, including the lovely zebra swallowtail." One of our all time favorite trails is in within the Van Fleet State Park! Over 29 miles of unreclaimed railroads its one of florida's most rural paved trails and its right on our doorstep! Pack up some lunch for you and your pup and lose yourself in this trail full of history and wildlife. This trail is fully fitted with doggy water fountains and is opened 7 days a week from 8am-sundown!

This hidden gem is a must see! From yummy seafood to $1 happy hour and karaoke nights, Old Man Franks has it all! Located on the beautiful Lake Howard you can enjoy all they have to offer while watching the breathtaking florida sunset with your best bud on their dog friendly patio. Why not finish your visit with a stroll around the lake after? Sounds like a dream evening to us!

Another must-see piece of lakeside paradise can be found at Tanners! If you have a boat you're probably already well aware of the wonderful lakes Winter Haven has to offer. Tanners is located on Lake May, they even have a lakeside bar you can pull right up to on your boat and grab a cocktail! Their dog friendly tiki is filled with live music during the weekend and their lakeside deck is a great place to grab delicious food with your furry pal!

Silvermoon Drive in movie Theatre
Sometimes we just want to do something different and unique... You won't be disappointed with Silvermoon. Offering two movies for just $6 per adult and $2 per child its the kind of offer you can't refuse (see what we did there?) It's good old fashioned fun that is also totally Covid safe. You can either remain in your car or set up camp in your parking spot- either way you'll be socially distanced and what's more you can bring your pups, great right?!
Concessions like candy floss, pizza and sodas are available but you can always pack your own drinks, snacks and blankets too!
